It breaks my heart that I have to teach my Kindergarteners that they might not be safe at school.

My 5 year said the best part of not going to school was no lockdown drills. She was traumatized by them this year and became preoccupied with fear of having one. 💔 I’ve spent 13 years doing them as part of the job, but it’s the first year I broke down that we have to do them.
