[ Thanks to the hard work of the Priestess...the Melancholia that had once corrupted that innocence is no more.

While their physical form still appears horrific under their clothing...they now have full control again.

The gentle, nameless mage, has returned. ]

@Pegan_Queen "It...it doesn't affect me too bad if I keep the use minimal. But if I go all out, like in a fight or something...

It kinda, feels like it's draining me. Making me feel...weak, kind of hopeless...

It's not what I'd call painful...but unpleasant."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen It was definitely melancholic still in nature...but not, overwhelmingly so. It seems they had control over it. Mostly. Pulling up their sleeve to give her a better look.

"...Surprisingly normal...sorta? If you touch it, it kinda just feels like you're touching anywhere else."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "It feels a bit weird...since they are essentially the same magla crystals as in an igniter, I can do...similar magic.

Doesn't feel pleasant. But it absolutely is possible."

Stretching out the limb, looking over it with an almost somber look.

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen Real !

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "I doubt it...had you not acted when you did...I would still be trying to hurt people.

From what I can tell...as long as it's just there and I'm not using the...extras it gives me, it draws Magla at a normal rate.

So...I should be okay. It's akin to the use of an igniter."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "My guess is...since you destroyed the source of its power...it's drawing on my natural magla. So it feels normal...if a bit uncomfortable sometimes.

Definitely strange...being able to put a hand through my own chest and feel nothing, though."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "Right...still, even so. Learning that kind of magic even exists...definitely gives me hope.

Although...in the meantime. At the very least it's a use for all of...ugh, this-"

Motioning towards their right arm...still as it was when they fought. Clockwork and crystal.

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "I...I see. That sounds like, a lot to be sure. I would assume the help needed was from the Elda I've heard you travel with?

What was the name...? Bill...? Chill...?

Oh, Will!!"

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "Y e s ."

Without a second of hesitation.

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "I've been trying to learn how to cast magic without the use of an igniter...

Maybe if I can figure out how to call on an archetype...that'll be exactly what I need."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "My memory is a little fuzzy of that time, but...I do recall seeing it. Those streaks of magla over your body, and the form you took when you called forth your companions...and our God.

It may be exactly what I was looking for..."

Cue a thinking pose, much like Eupha's own.

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "Arche...type?"

Tilting their head...they had, a lot of magla. And they were clearly suppressing more. An archetype was absolutely possible.

But they had no idea what it meant.

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "I...genuinely thought it was for the best. I thought siding with him would bring the best outcome for everyone...

Now just...I don't know.

But, regardless...I promised you I'd stay strong. And I intend to do so.

I promise I'll be of more use.

Once I...figure out the magic."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "He...made it sound, understandable. That he viewed it as less of a means to an end and, more that he actually cared.

But after that crystal...he told me he was watching. He let it happen, unlocking potential he called it...

What a fool I was."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "Ah...alright, that must have been difficult...he keeps his security airtight.

I...actually genuinely believed him. He approached me...offered me a bed, a purpose, when I had nothing...but...

Some of his soldiers, let's say they...

Were not a fan of my past when I came clean."

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "Wait...you did? I didn't, hear of this in my time with him...!"

They seemed...surprised. Given that, the person she follows and Louis seemed to be battling for the throne.

[𝒮𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝑀𝒶𝑔𝑒...! @KindMagics]

@Pegan_Queen "Friends and allies...that does make me wonder...actually.

Don't get me wrong...I'm grateful, but...are you okay with talking to me, given that...yknow...I worked for Lord Louis?"

A genuine concern was in their eyes...they hadn't known the atrocities he'd committed.
