A week ago in Dehradun, two brothers — Kaif and Saif — were caught in a hotel room with two Brahmin Hindu girls.
Initially, they claimed to be school students, condoms and sex power tablets were found from them.
After police questioning, they admitted they work as tailors in their village and are now begging for forgiveness.
The 20 women farmers on today's inaugural Jewar flight did not arrive at this moment easily.
They gave up land that their families had held for generations. For many, it was a decision that felt permanent and irreversible in a way that is hard to describe unless you have worked a piece of ground your whole life and then signed it away.
The Double Engine government's response to that sacrifice was not just a compensation cheque. It was a seat on the first flight, a meeting with the Chief Minister, and a deliberate choice to call them partners rather than project-affected persons.
That reframing, sustained over years and honored on opening day, is the governance detail that made all the difference.

Why Khavda?
Adani chose Khavda because the region offers some of the best wind resources in the world and the second best solar conditions in India after Ladakh.
By combining these natural advantages with large scale battery storage, Adani is maximizing the potential of the location.

I’m grateful to my friend, President Macron for taking part in ‘Bharat Innovates.’ He shared valuable points during his speech earlier today. India and France will keep working closely when it comes to tech and innovation.
@EmmanuelMacron@BharatInnov2026
Nice to have met you in Nice. A productive first leg indeed. The India-France partnership will keep scaling new heights.
See you in Evian and Paris…
@EmmanuelMacron
Yesterday evening’s welcome in Bratislava was truly special.
I am grateful to the Indian community for their warmth and affection. Such gestures reflect the enduring bonds that connect our people and strengthen the India-Slovakia friendship.
Glimpses from Bharat Innovates 2026.
This platform showcases the best of Indian innovation, which is driving our developmental journey.
I invite the world to invest in India and partner with our youth.

Culture is a key foundation of the strong India-French partnership.
At ‘Bharat Innovates’, President Macron and I viewed an art exhibition by two French artists, Théophile de Bascher and Thibault de la Lance, who had recently visited Jaipur for an Art Residency.
@EmmanuelMacron
Over the next few days, I will be in France and Slovakia to attend various programmes, including bilateral talks, multilateral engagements and interaction with the Indian diaspora. The focus will be on boosting economic as well as cultural linkages.
The visit will begin with programmes in Nice, notably ‘Bharat Innovates’, in which President Macron will be present. As India and France are marking the ‘India-France Year of Innovation’, ‘Bharat Innovates’ will be a vibrant platform that brings together innovators, StartUps and those related to the world of innovation.
In Nice, I will also hold talks with President Macron, where we will review the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership.

This is Arpit Sharma. I strongly disagree with some of his publicly expressed views, including those related to Umar Khalid. Personally, I believe that anyone who supports terrorists or justifies terrorism is promoting a dangerous mindset. People should examine public statements carefully and decide for themselves instead of blindly following anyone in the name of student activism.
For those calling me a BJP supporter, let me make one thing clear: it was Maneka Gandhi, a BJP leader at the time, who got a fake snake venom case filed against me. So I have no personal attachment to any political party.
I know the difference between right and wrong. I support students and their genuine concerns, but I will always oppose anyone trying to push anti-India agendas under the cover of student activism. I have raised my voice against such things before, and I will continue to do so.
