🚨Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru and her husband Kamotho Waiganjo have quietly separated.

They first met in 2009 during the constitution-making process.

Both were working as consultants for parties negotiating the new constitution.

The two fell in love at Likoni ferry in Mombasa while heading to a constitutional forum.

They shared a simple meal of bread and soda, and Waiganjo asked for her phone number.

After that, Waiganjo pursued her through phone conversations.

She eventually agreed to a date at Thai restaurant in Nairobi.

They had their first fight on that date because Waiguru was on the phone the whole time.

Waiganjo was upset by the lack of attention but they later agreed to keep their phones away during personal time.

He proposed on his birthday at Lord Erroll Hotel in Nairobi, and they held their traditional engagement on February 16, 2019.

Ann Waiguru was previously married to Tony Waiguru, with whom she has three children.

Kamotho was formerly married to Lorna Seneiya at the age of 29. They separated after 20 years of marriage.

Waiguru and Kamotho quietly went their separate ways in January 2024 after disagreements rocked their marriage.
