Honored to receive the Esso Scholarship at the #TELUSCup. Thank you to @HockeyCanada and @HC_TELUSCup for the award, and thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way @HfxMacs
@23MAlyssa@shaynagoldman_ You don’t think someone who has been in the game of hockey for decades can handle people reporting to him? Then subsequently using that info to make himself a better coach/make informed decisions on players acquired/analytics? AGM’s frequently negotiate at NHL level btw.
@CriticBC@Kyle_Cush What were these players roles on the team? Do they think he’s bad b/c he had other players playing more when they felt they were deserving of that? Just b/c players & coach don’t see eye to eye =/= coach bad. Pretty basic philosophy. If everyone likes coach, probably not a good 1
@CriticBC@Kyle_Cush This would insinuate you have talked to them to know their feelings or else you’d be assuming things which is not very nice.
Think the 2022 players who won gold would have a diff opinion than the one you assume of 2026? Many of whom overlap?
@23MAlyssa@shaynagoldman_ Every heard of a scouting depeartment to “watch prospective draftees”. An AGM that helps “man the phones for trades”. Analytics department? Development personel? If you believe an NHL GM micromanages all these, I have an oceanfront property in Edmonton to sell you. Learn the game
Sometimes the toughest endings are the clearest beginnings.
Our guys are resilient, connected, and willing to fight for everything. Year two, and already pushing into the playoffs… that doesn’t happen by accident.
I’m incredibly proud of our players, our coaches, and everyone who is building this the right way.
To Mammoth Nation — you have created something unforgettable. You gave this team energy, belief, and a reason to keep pushing. The boys felt it every night.
We felt it. The league felt it.
This isn’t a moment. It’s momentum.
We’re building a team, a culture, a hockey state…and something we can rally around for a long time.
We’ll come back stronger.
More connected.
More ready.
This is just the beginning.
Onward and upward. #TusksUp

@JLazzy23 The most egregious part is the EXTREMELY delayed reaction by the ref. Hughes had been laying on ice for 2 seconds by time arm went up. Not a “my bad thought he got tripped” instant reaction thing which you could understand.
@burnsieoriginal Playoff hockey is the best not only because of the intensity, checking and pace. But because of this series right here. I’d argue <35% of brackets had PHI beating Pens. But hockey is built different & PHI has an intensity Pens can’t match. You don’t see upsets like this in ball.
@JLazzy23 Gotta think the initial reaction played a part here. The arms and the look to ref before staying down, even if he is somewhat hurt or wind knocked out….refs couldn’t have liked that
@burnsieoriginal It’s brutal. Looks like 3 years ago when they cracked down on stick near hands and were enforcing rulebook hard early season, not playoff hockey. Let the fellas play 5v5.
@alizada_alikhan@JLazzy23@FriedgeHNIC You’re not going to catch me disagreeing on criticism of refs. Wasn’t even really disagreeing with you in general, penalty was called, just making best sense of why it was based of info out there. Cheers! Enjoy playoffs
@alizada_alikhan@JLazzy23@FriedgeHNIC The whole point of this is if you put your stick up near someones head under your own control things like this can happen. If his stick is on ice, a high stick never occurs interference or not. Not saying I love the penalty, just pairing Elliottes info w rulebook.
@alizada_alikhan@JLazzy23@FriedgeHNIC If his stick was near ice and nowhere near the face of Point, does the interference bring his stick up 6 feet to be a high stick? His stick was in the vicinity prior. Its the “control” element alluded to in rules. Just trying to make sense of Elliotes explanation + rulebook.
