@megynkelly If I were Natalie and worried about my reputation as a non adulterous woman, I wouldn’t be working for a guy who brags about grabbing women’s private parts.
I deployed for 485 days in Afghanistan with an 80 percent-plus casualty rate. We came under fire nearly every day. Combat deployments bring real hardship. That is simply the truth.
We endured it. We held together. We finished the mission.
The media treatment of the USS Abraham Lincoln is something different. Legitimate challenges of a long combat deployment are being twisted into a false narrative, while the genuine difficulties faced by military families are being used for headlines.
That is shameful.
The Sailors aboard the Lincoln are doing what American warriors have always done: remaining resilient, focused on the mission, and proud of their service on this historic deployment.
We stand with them.
@MrNathan_Hale@RadioFreeTom Every time I hear With or Without You.
The idea that they did all of this - ruining all this lives including their children’s and their own- for the Soviet Union that was gone just a few years after it ended.
@VOBOE Spouses are worse.
I attended a course on base about helping build resilience in younger/new spouses that was basically the speaker saying she had it worse than all the listeners, so everyone should just stop complaining and have resilience.
@CapnPatriot@infantrydort Americans can have a difference of opinion on how the government should be structured.
We have amendments for a reason.
It doesn’t make our fellow Americans an enemy.
