Trying to force its mouth open is almost impossible. it’s like trying to resist a hydraulic press. Best thing you can do is hit its nose really hard or plugging its nose.
But if you’re REALLY desperate you can poke its eyes but dont do that because it hurts them
@almghtytlstvldy Here’s a good video of what the palatal valve looks like in motion. They keep it closed in the water so water doesn’t go into their lungs and stomach
(its yawning)
@almghtytlstvldy Thats only if your limb is deep enough inside and it depends if its underwater or not. Because pushing open the palatal valve would let water in, forcing it to let go to avoid drowning. But in this situation that strategy is pretty much useless
@SpookySpeccsy It wouldn’t. Its cloaca is underneath its body and would be extremely hard to get to. And the have extremely strong tails and could whip you to the ground easily
@PrinceChi05 The muscle to open its jaws are quite slow. You’ll be able to get your hand out in time before it tries bitting again it you hit its nose hard enough
