Tension. The female kingfishers fight, the male waits. He stands upright to make himself long and tall. I’ve seen this often at this time of year. They adopt a tall stance when on alert or trying to impress. The tale doesn’t appear to be fanned so I’m guessing this is alert.

@decoratorsforum @FarrowandBall The estate eggshell has improved. It's definately much nicer to work with (applying and sanding between coats) but the emulsion seem worse. The addition of a mandatory primer to the system is a step backwards imo.

@jkerry79 @ToolTalk1 @FarrowandBall I've was led to believe that as the existing paint is F&B a primer coat isn't necessary. My issue is the opacity of the paint. I was surprised that a premium paint would be so thin. I've now put one coat on and it is clearly going to picture frame. Not a issue any primer can fix
