"There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."
-James Madison
@whiskey1791@WanderinSquire@backuppuddin As far as Putnam goes. Sure. In ethnocentric regions that makes sense like where putnam did work in scandanavia or japan perhaps. America is completely different and not comparable unless yiu want to use native americans in which case European immigration was awful for them lol
@whiskey1791@WanderinSquire@backuppuddin Yes the entire premise is that federally as far as tax dollars go. Immigrants working in america are net positive. That was it. Theres tons of studies to support that.
Other people cant handle that conversation and make it cultural or social which are seperate discussions
@BygonesbeBygon7@backuppuddin I wouldnt call it an argument. Nothing you have put here disproved my original point.
I have huge issue with that housing cost paper. They printed trillions of dollars. Inflation. Correlation isnt causation.
And anybody can make that cost graph lmfao. Not a study
@BygonesbeBygon7@backuppuddin I dont live in any of those countries. Those countries have completely different social structures and benefit programs.
This entire thread is about america.
@whiskey1791@WanderinSquire@backuppuddin Yall are retarded. This is in context of the financial impact for the government based on he premise of them "taking" benefits and stealing tax dollars.
Had nothing to do with job market dynamics which is a different topic. on that topic id somewhat agree we have too many H1b.
@BygonesbeBygon7@backuppuddin They dont get medicaid or qualify for social security but pay in. Simple math.
Arguing net positive for social is different.
id personally say ee have too much H1B. And need to stop going after the peoplr with marriage cases and focus on the H1-B policy.
@Chris77365021@Michael_Urban@backuppuddin Your anecdotal report is a sample size of 1 lol. And you can read the research studies design and methods if you have questions on how data is determined. Of course its not perfect. Especially for that specific data point but my over arching point remains supported by the data
