@jackgoldy123 @GrindstoneMTGO Im definitely no Xenowan, but I think the idea is that the plan turns into a revolving door since the Icefangs replace themselves, going down -1 card to generate occulus doesn't feel as bad. You can protect it with consigns and if they have to go further negative to answer it 1/2

It’s a competitive game, and in tournaments we’re playing for money. It’s explicitly allowed by the rules, and top players do it all the time. Open to discussion on it.

@FanksEoT 2. Lame duck format after lame duck format. Fatigue. When we had a decent system of 3 rounds and 3 formats (4 if you wanna do limited) why do we do these back to back seasons of stale bread? This is the first one I think, but it’s got player morale at an all time low.

@FanksEoT 1. The sheer number and not needing to travel as much to find them. Double edged swords here, cause while it’s cool to get locals in, we want the fuckin hellions to come out and play in our events. That shit doesn’t happen unless people like the format, usually.

@Sierkovitz What this really does is answer my question about why I get pack 1 pick 2 crazy card that should never be passed. “They must have opened a lotus” I say, grateful to not have to face them in the Swiss.
