Listen, I don't know if there's anything nefarious going on with Kyle Shanahan's car accident -- it's probably innocent, but I'm now investigating it for 3 reasons:

1.) Someone waited 11 days and leaked this information to Adam Schefter on a Saturday when open records offices are closed and when this story will get eaten by the news cycle. Highly unusual.

2.) We've already seen that just showing a head coach's text messages can apparently get you out of trouble with police. I can imagine that actually BEING a head coach comes with similar privileges.

3.) We all gave Brandon Ayiuk crap for allegedly wreckless driving. If the head coach of the 49ers was doing the same thing, he deserves the same level of scrutiny and curiosity from us, if not more.

Again, it's probably nothing. Kyle seems like a great dude. But I'm going to have a peak just to make sure.
