This is a real place. It is a housing estate called Les Espaces d'Abraxas, built near Paris in 1982.

And it's one of the most important buildings in the world...

France has a housing estate literally shaped like saw teeth.

Les Dents de Scie, in Trappes near Paris, was built between 1926 and 1931 by architects Henri and André Gutton for railway workers.

The 40 attached houses were placed at a 45-degree angle along the street, creating the sharp zigzag pattern seen from above.

Each home had its own private garden, combining worker housing with a striking geometric urban plan.

Almost demolished decades later, the estate was instead preserved and listed as a historic monument in 1992.
