@Lairofthelich @etlazerbeam Because 3.5 had alternate paladins, while I will yield that base 3.5 paladins had the prefect that you had to be Lawful good, they did also offer ten other Paladin variants to counter these solely Lawful good paladins. Anarch Paladin, Anti-Paladin, Corrupted Paladin, ETC

@Lairofthelich @etlazerbeam This man forgets that there are gods who are inherently evil, and you can be a Paladin of their foul plans. Go read Xanathar's guide for Oath of Conquest Paladins, the Hellknights, who swear fealty to arch-devils like Bel. Or even Vengeance Oath Dark Knights in the PHB.
