Who were these massive doors built for? There are even little doors built in to some of these almost like a pet door for us little folks. It does show we lived with the giants at one time though.

Yesterday it caught fire.
Coincidence?
In 2013, a remarkable medical procedure was performed on Chinese factory worker Xie Wei, where his hand was temporarily attached to his left ankle to maintain its viability, utilizing the blood supply from his leg.
Although the hand was warm, it was numb due to the absence of connected nerves; only blood vessels were linked. Xie Wei observed that his leg felt mostly normal, albeit slightly heavier.
One month later, doctors successfully reattached the hand to his arm. Post-recovery, Xie Wei was able to rotate his wrist partially, but his fingers' movement was still limited.
He was informed by medical experts that it might take around six months for the nerves in his hand to completely heal.
Chris did even better: When Chris was found, he was carrying around 41 kilograms (approximately 90 pounds) of wool. After being sheared, his fleece was confirmed by the Guinness World Records as the heaviest from a sheep.
It was estimated that Chris had been wandering alone in the bush for about five years without being sheared, leading to the massive amount of wool growth.
A professional shearer, Ian Elkins, was called in for the job and it took around 42 minutes to remove Chris’s fleece. This was a much longer time than the usual couple of minutes it takes to shear a sheep.
The wool from Chris was of good quality despite its length and the conditions. It was said that his fleece could be used to make over 30 woolen sweaters or be spun into enough yarn for nearly 500 pairs of socks.
This is Shrek. He was just your everyday, average, run-of-the-mill Merino sheep living in South Island, New Zealand when he decided to escape from his enclosure and make a break for it to some nearby caves.
He managed to live on his own for 6 years before he was eventually tracked down by his owner John Perrian, who had this to say when he finally found him, "He looked like some biblical creature."
While some sheep breeds naturally shed their wool (i.e., Bighorn sheep in North America), Merino sheep never do. Their wool will continue to grow until it completely engulfs them and even impairs their vision (what you would call "wool blind"). Domesticated sheep have evolved based on the way humans have groomed them for thousands of years. The earliest domestication of sheep dates back to 11,000 BCE in ancient Mesopotamia, where they were primarily used for meat, milk, and wool.
After 6 years without a shave, Shrek had enough wool on his body to produce 20 suits for large men. In total, his fleece weighed 60 pounds. Shrek's fleece was shaved off on national television and then auctioned off to support medical charities for children. He even got to meet the Prime Minister and has since been depicted in several children's books. Sadly, Shrek passed away in 2011 at the age of 16.
“This is my friend's 17 year old nephew, Tanner. Yesterday he was enjoying a day at Scissortail Park with his mother and younger siblings when he noticed a person struggling in the pond. Tanner's mom said he did a quick double take then without a word he was running toward the water. She had no idea what was happening but Tanner knew someone needed him. His instincts took over and this guy saved a drowning 2 year old!!! He suffered a head injury in the process and had to have staples. Police, fire and medics responded and the child's mother cried uncontrollably with gratitude. Tanner is humble, compassionate and really does not understand how much heartbreak his actions have saved a family.”

Brain cancer took away my Ashley’s ability to speak in her last few months on Earth. She gave us a 👍🏼 to let us know she was ok. I will continue to fight for my Ashley & every single Child battling this nasty disease. We’d be so grateful for a follow to keep Ashley’s story alive.

Here’s how I will dismantle the surveillance state. I will replace the officials that have been instructing tech companies to censor users. I will direct the justice department to stop prosecuting whistleblowers and start investigating the crimes they expose. I will rescind administrative policies that surveil Americans’ communications. In the long term, it is about forging an entirely different relationship between people and government based on respect. #Kennedy24
I posted yesterday about a cat saved from the rubble in Turkey who refused to leave his rescuer's side.
The rescuer's name is Ali Cakas and he adopted the cat, naming him Enkaz - "rubble" in Turkish.
May they have a happy life together!
