A Harold Wood development where hundreds of Leaseholder and shared ownership residents are trapped in under 11m unsellable properties. #ENDOURCLADDINGSCANDAL
This is my UNDER 11m building covered in HPL cladding. We still can’t move on and we are entitled to absolutely NO HELP as things stand. Yet we are being forgotten? #BuildingSafetyCrisis@michaelgove@team_greenhalgh
If you own a flat, if you have a mortgage you need to know this happening. Flats are being rendered WORTHLESS by a lack of communication between @RICSnews, UK Lenders and our government.
Why is no one in Government listening to the desperate situation caused by U.K. Lenders choosing to ignore the @RICSnews guidelines on the EWS1 form. People are losing their homes @NatWest_Help@TSB@HalifaxBank This a HUGE issue @BBCNews
Before plastering the countryside with new houses, with no thought to the impact on local communities, why don't we start removing the million plus people who have no right to be in our country?
I am positive for 2025, despite everything. We all know it's mess, we all know there's so much wrong, we all know Labour are terrible - but there are reasons to be hopeful.
My New Year message is this - you are not alone.
Sometimes it may feel like it, but please understand that the decent majority is with you. British people are fundamentally driven by logic and fairness - that can only be suppressed for so long.
2025 is the year common sense makes a roaring comeback. I can feel it...
They can call us racist, far-right, bigots, whatever 'phobe' is in fashion that day. Ignore it. As Winston Churchill said, keep buggering on...
We are right. They are wrong.
For wanting a functional border, that protects against the invasion of unchecked foreign young males? An immigration system that puts the interests of the British people above ALL else?
We are right.
For asking to return power to the individual, clawing it back from the bloated and inefficient state? Slashing tax to reward hard work, and incentivise real economic growth?
We are right.
For not bowing to the woke mob? For wanting to protect British children from the seeping indoctrination that is being felt across the school system? For wanting to celebrate Britain, and all that we have given to the world? For accepting biological fact and reality?
We are right.
For questioning the logic of sending billions in overseas aid, when our own people are suffering through a freezing winter? For wanting a British Government that prioritises the wellbeing of its own citizens above that of China, India, Brazil or wherever else?
We are right.
For believing in the application of the law to ALL fairly and equally? For asking that ALL should be treated with the same swift justice, regardless of race or religion?
We are right, AGAIN.
Pushing these principles can feel lonely, the system wants you to feel that way. But, please remember - you are NOT alone.
Millions and millions of decent British people agree with you.
Reform is our only route out of this mess.
The ONLY way to deliver change is through the ballot box. If you want real reform, then you have to vote for it.
Don't get angry, frustrated, despondent. Get determined - it's your country, do something about it.
I love Britain, and I love being British. Always remember that there is so much to fight for...
Happy New Year,
Rupert
Hundreds of illegal migrants crossed the Channel yesterday, on Christmas Day. What an insult that is.
As we all know, the vast majority young males - not genuine asylum seekers, but illegal migrants. Let's use language accurately here - illegal, they are illegal.
But really, who can blame them? They don't even have to make it to British shores. They'll be picked up half way, and escorted in. They're all fully aware as to what awaits - comfortable hotel accommodation, food/care provided, and an incredibly high likelihood of being granted asylum for whatever lie our gullible Home Office swallows.
To then enjoy a life on benefits at the taxpayer's expense - remember, £726 million was spent on refugees claiming Universal Credit in 2023. The farming inheritance assault is estimated to eventually raise £520 million a year, to give some perspective...
These men should be treated as criminals. Detain them, securely. Don't let them roam the streets, don't allow them to harass British women, don't make it comfortable. It is so painfully obvious...
SEND A MESSAGE - 'you are NOT welcome here'.
You know what we should be seeing today? Planes taking off, filled with these men. Make a show of it. Tell the world. The crossings will stop.
How can anyone look at images of the boats, filled almost entirely with foreign blokes, and actually believe they're genuine asylum seekers? It gives me a headache thinking about their sheer naivety.
I do not want these men in our country. I don't care whatever lie they're spinning, they should be deported. Every single one of them. If you come here illegally, you do not stay - under any circumstances.
This is going to go on and on and on. Under current policies, how does it end? When will it end? Will it end?!
The answer is staring us in the face. Turn the boats around. Those who do arrive, detain and deport. Nobody here illegally stays, nobody who comes illegally stays.
Instead, we deliberately escort hundreds of unknown foreign men into our country on Christmas Day.
This madness cannot continue.
This from Jeremey Clarkson resonates with me so much. Also a Remainer, I held the same view. People like he and I are many. We watched the working classes be labelled "moronic far right xenophobes, confused by a bus", and it woke a lot of us up. Those same people, who were asked a question, answered it, have been denigrated for the last 8 years. They still haven't got what they asked for in that 8 years - in fact, it's got considerably worse than when they voted Leave, yet 8 years later, they're now called "Far Right".
We stopped being a democratic country in 1997.
This was confirmed in 2016 when the proles didn't do what they were told.
And in 2024, we're seeing the repercussions of 30 years of the abuse of the people.
30 YEARS, they've taken your money, and given you nothing in return.
So stop. #FullNAtionalStrike

Then, less than 24 hours later, the weak and pathetic Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer turns on his own people and threatens them with a new Robocop style police force to stamp out any acts of civil disobedience, whilst promising to protect the religion of hate that refuses to integrate into Britain.
They rape, groom, murder, turn our cities and towns into shit holes and make everywhere they invade into a third world area.
We are threatened by the police who use two tier policing against us and arrest peaceful protesters who's only crime is to try and make our voices heard by a deaf incompetent PM and government.
Compared to Harehills and Rochdale, when the police ran away from young Muslim mens aggression towards them so as not to upset them in any way. We are being treated as fools, and enough is enough.

@Keir_Starmer Wow. You have just ended your career with this statement. Talk about failing to read the room on any level.
Society is raging with the state of this country and children being killed, and you decide to announce to be tougher on society reaching their braking point.
This scheme is not only causing problems for households, businesses and charities in London, but elsewhere too. We should be supporting them, not clobbering them. Not shutting down opportunity and economic activty. We will only reach our environmental objectives by innovations that are affordable, possible and desirable.
Trapped paying £300 a month in interest to the Government on a flat he can’t sell or remortgage due to cladding, Bilal Khan said taking out a Help to Buy loan was “one of the worse decisions” he has made in his life.

The assessments have now been returned to their original authors to be reviewed and revised, with guidance from independent auditors. While this does not mark the end of the process for leaseholders, it is a welcome step. Julia will continue to monitor progress with stakeholders.
Team Lopez: Julia has been supporting leaseholders on the Kings Park estate to work through cladding & fire safety concerns. After extensive interaction with @luhc, the dept. has reviewed the FRAEWs of 6 blocks finding that recommended works were not reasonable or proportionate.
I asked LUHC what they were doing for leaseholders in blocks below 11m.
Disappointed to be told the only real option or support from Govt is for leaseholders to take legal action.
How can they afford this when they're facing bills of £20,000 like my constituent?
More than 50 years after being captured from the wild and held for decades at the Miami Seaquarium, Lolita the Orca could soon be returned to "home waters" to live out the rest of her days. https://t.co/B5TuZ8ByNN
Dipping my toe briefly back into building safety, and a story I've been covering for 3 years.
Cladding victims who bought their home through Help to Buy have been badly treated by the gov and it agencies.
Now, the Financial Ombudsman seems to agree. https://t.co/PGfBIWTHd3
