Run your own race.
Compare your today to your yesterday.
That's a competition you can actually win.
What's one thing you'll do better this week than you did last week? π
I used to spend way too much time comparing myself to people in my industry.
Someone landed another client.
Someone launched another product.
Someone announced another big win.
Meanwhile, I was just trying to get through Monday. π
Here's the funny part.
The moment I stopped watching everyone else's race...
Mine started moving a whole lot faster. π
Small improvements don't look impressive today.
Give them a year.
Clients don't hire consultants to build what they ask for.
They hire consultants to solve what's actually broken.
Diagnosis comes before the solution.
What's the best example you've seen of someone solving the wrong problem? π€
They didn't need a chatbot.
They needed a well structured FAQ page.
We built that instead.
It cost a fraction of the original budget and significantly reduced support requests.
Sometimes the simplest solution is the right one.
A client once came to me asking for a chatbot.
Budget approved.
Timeline agreed.
Everything was ready.
Then I asked why.
Turns out customers kept emailing the same five questions about pricing and delivery.
Instead of asking,
β "What do you want me to build?"
Ask:
β "What outcome are you trying to achieve?"
β "What's stopping you from achieving it today?"
Those two questions change everything
Clients also say:
"We need a new CRM."
"We need automation."
"We need AI."
Those aren't problems.
They're proposed solutions.
The real job is figuring out why they think they need them.
Over the next few months, I'll be sharing what I'm building, lessons from client work, sales systems, AI, and the mistakes that taught me the most.
If any of that sounds interesting, I'd love to have you along for the journey. π
Every broken workflow taught me something.
Every mistake made me a little better.
I'm still learning.
Still building.
Still testing.
And I don't think that ever stops.
Funny enough, none of this was the plan.
It started with curiosity, a laptop, and more late nights than I can count.
Some days everything worked.
Most days... it definitely didn't. π€§
Today, I run Kingstar AI Agency from Benin City.
I spend most of my time helping businesses stop losing customers simply because nobody got back to them quickly enough.
Simple problem.
Expensive consequences.
The best systems don't replace people.
They give people their time back, so they can focus on the work that actually matters.
That's what got me hooked.
