@MaJules64 @JamieChadwick@JD101290 You’re dead right. Did not know that. So why aren’t there women who are talented enough? If it’s only talent, it’s not physiological, and all other things are equal, why are 0/20 F1 drivers (and whatever for F2 & F3) representing more than half of the world population’s gender?
Great shootout for @JamieChadwick. I suppose there might be a reason besides institutional inertia (training, development and "super license" points come to mind in that category) that she wasn't even brought up in the driver's market talks this year, but I don't see what it is
@MaJules64 @JamieChadwick@JD101290 I’m not saying the racers who are currently in Formula W *should* be in F1, just wondering out loud what can be done for the next generation.
@MaJules64 @JamieChadwick Adding @JD101290 to this thread so I don’t have the same conversation twice.
See, to me “don’t have the talent” is another way of saying “didn’t grow up in a culture that fostered their talent.” How many sons of racers there were on the grid in 2022?
@JD101290@JamieChadwick I meant besides that. It’s a bigger question than F1 driver market for this season, so perhaps I worded it poorly. Is there something inherent to female physiology that makes them less effective race car drivers, or is it just the way it’s always been?
@DaveSFoley I got Dave Brubeck Live at Oberlin College there. Asked the dude behind the counter if it’s any good. He looked at me like he was considering not letting me buy it and said “it’s a classic.” To his credit, he still sold it to me and he was right.
I can’t remember the last time I saw such a balanced 2-way center as @Dylanlarkin39. Between the legs, no stick, whatever, is there a breakaway he can’t beat? Can’t wait until his hand is healed so he can get back to winning faceoffs and fist bump the bench with his right. #LGRW
@MMSnodgrass Pachyderm: only negative I’ve heard is the same username can be on multiple servers, so people trying to find the you have two pieces of information to remember, which I guess is kinda like an email address. I have heard nothing positive or negative about the postal option.
