In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

We at Masjid Al-Mumin are deeply saddened by the devastating fires that erupted yesterday and continue to burn throughout Los Angeles. As a masjid in this community, we hope and pray that everyone remains safe during this challenging time.

We especially ask Allah (SWT) to aid and protect the Muslims who may have been affected, to preserve their families, and to safeguard their properties. Truly, Allah’s aid and mercy are reserved for the believers, and we turn to Him in these times of need.

In times like this, we remind ourselves to seek Allah’s help and refuge, to increase in our du’as, and to turn back to Him with repentance and forgiveness. Difficulties are a reminder of our reliance upon Allah, and it is through His mercy and power that relief comes.

May Allah keep all the Muslims in the Los Angeles area safe, grant them strength, and alleviate their difficulties.

This is 1 of 14 or so windows that are rotting away. One may ask “Why is everything rotting away”? Masjid Al- Mumin was established in 1974 with the building being even older than that. We hope to also put an emergency exit connected to the balcony in this video. This would provide more space for sisters to access as well as a safety measure for the kids attending the school upstairs in the masjid.

The boundary wall of the Masjid is long over due for restoration. As can be seen, the wall is decaying and rotting away. This is needed for security and privacy of our women and children who primarily are in the backyard.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu, dear community far and near.

Alhamdu lillah, are thrilled to report that our recent seminar was very successful , by Allah's permission. This event brought numerous blessings, including innovative ideas to enhance and sustain our beloved masjid.

Though the conference had many successes we were not able to reach our donation target of 200,000 dollars. We currently sit at $33,759. This thread will act as an hub of information to show the projects that we desire to put these donations towards. Ways to donate 👇🏾

Don't forget to keep listening to, and sharing our brother's recitation so the rewards may reach him in his grave. May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him Jannatul Firdaus...

Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais before the Isha Salaah said:

"Be diligent, may Allah preserve you in compassion, kindness, and cooperation.

Be gentle with your brothers.

Beware of clashing, and pushing, and help your brothers, the men of security.

May Allah grant success to all of you in what He loves and is pleased with."
