@rich_silverberg sorry Rich! I do hugely respect MH as a keystone album in the discography, (especially lyrics wise) it's just I'm afraid I don't love a lot of the songs. Glad you're enjoying the pod though despite this!
I was knocked out by your response to The Royal Albert Hall show on The Journey Pt 3. It prompted me to look through The Kinks Archive, I came across this home movie I made back in the 90's. I thought you all might like to look at part one as we roll up to Halloween!
Enjoy,
Ray
I admire @OzzyOsbourne for doing the show from a nice cozy chair. We’re all getting older and we all need a little help. Maybe I’ll get a stage chair for my next tour https://t.co/cnC4GzLmWk
Devastated to hear of @BrianWilsonLive ‘s passing. He had such a profound effect on me. The Kinks played the Hollywood Bowl with The Beach Boys on our first us tour. Sad day .. years later Brian and I used to run into each other at the movies with our daughters and we’d catch up..I’m devastated. I loved his Singing. He was an innovator and his writing prowess was remarkable. I loved him.

Preservation act one from 1973 presents us with a sudden and remarkable sonic shift from the previous year's Everybody's in Show-Biz
