Existence isn't the same for everyone.
It just doesn't go the same or feel the same to every human being.
That disparity never translates. People are tunnel vision, blissfully unaware, egoic. They don't know what it feels like to be anyone else, live any differently.
Me making plans to drive out of here: Yes, I'm doing it, this is a plan, I did all the reading-
Life: Your car cabin smells of ammonia because coolant is slowly leaking into the heat exchanger, a known issue with this car

[Flushing out my sinuses with neti pot saline, changing my N95 mask for a new one, steeping 2 mugs of hot tea because] this had better only be a sinus infection -- NOT SomethingElse™ 🤧
I spent the night of Mother's Day cleaning mold off multiple pieces of the washing machine's detergent tray. J&J baby shampoo to break apart the biofilm, scrubbed with Q-tips repeatedly, rinsed in cold water, wiped dry, wiped with vinegar...
I'm so @#$&ing tired of this place.
It really is that simple.
And. Pulling drowning people out of the river stops when you instead walk up river to stop them from falling in. You can't change someone's past, but it can change you. And for someone else, you can cultivate a better present. Offer a healthier future.
@MalenTheodore@Bharat2310@everyonebpup The scene when Rue says to Laurie's crew that she has lied so much, no one believes her anymore- not even when she is telling the truth... Her friends all thought she was making up a wild story. They didn't believe it. Maddy didn't heed Rue's body language & warning in the diner.
@Bharat2310@everyonebpup By that same logic Lexi got Rue killed by accusing Rue of using again which started an argument, and then Lexi running her mouth on the phone about what Rue had told her. Alamo decided as a kid that he would never again be outsmarted by a b#$&@. Remember? Alamo already knew.
@Bharat2310@everyonebpup No. Alamo already knew. They had her phone. Remember? Rue said that they had taken her phone. In front of the snake enclosure, she is told that they called her mother and spoke with her. Which means they saw she had 2 numbers in contacts listed as "Mom". Alamo's guy called both.
@alyssarosaaaa Re-watching this puts into perspective: Jules made a choice that complicated Rue's involvement with a drug dealer. An involvement that later resulted in Rue's demise.
The 1 person who could love Rue as a recovering addict was another recovering addict. Ali. And it wasn't enough.
Now, imagine 1 person from each culture marrying each other, and raising a family together. 🥴 And the resulting descendants made rather neurodivergent, because the genes sure didn't mix well- and the variance in communication style in 4 generations of 1 family makes a mind spin.

Finally, someone did what I said to my sleep specialist 4 years ago, should be done (the one who dismissed me and my data and recommended CBTi).
And, surprise, they find that poor sleep in ME must be due to physiology, not bad "sleep hygiene".

Neurologist Dr Bing says:
“people were told that this was stress but now we know that there are measurable biological changes”
“like a phone that says it has 80%, you open an app it drops to 5%, the numbers look fine, but the system is not working properly.”

Funny how Jessie Buckley can make you laugh, cry, and question your life choices all in one movie. It’s like riding a roller coaster through a complicated emotional funhouse. Honestly, sign me up for the next ride—I need more of that chaotic brilliance in my life!
@knightlycozcu4 Wild Rose was surprisingly fun for a drama. Humanly flawed, humanly continuing to try. Really felt for the whole family in the film.
Left me still shuddering at the memory of the nurse she portrayed in Fargo. So unnerving.
And the mind-@#$& of I'm Thinking Of Ending Things.
The "what can you do but just accept that some stuff is terminal" attitude is bad coping. Be angry. WANT TO approach issues with curiosity, admit your error & lack of understanding. Trial solutions you had never fully considered before.
Death isn't resignation, it's provocation.
It's such a beautiful film, not just because of the cinematography. This version of A Little Princess shows that Sarah not only resists but vitally understands the head mistress without being broken by her cruelty.
And it gives us a plot twist in a happier ending than the novel.
A LITTLE PRINCESS was released 31 years ago today.
Though not a major box office success, the film later gained a strong reputation for its storytelling & visual beauty, with many considering it one of the most overlooked family films of the 90s.
ethan hawke said something i haven’t stopped thinking about — we usually move past art like we have no need for it, until loss enters our life and suddenly nothing ordinary can hold what we’re feeling
