Being curious and excited can take you far, especially over the long arc of a life. The person who is a voracious lifelong learner will figure it out eventually. A strong reader with a healthy dose of curiosity and a willingness to try things is hard to stop.
Meditating this afternoon on the truth of assurance of salvation.
What has typically been called the "perseverance of the saints" sits solidly on God’s sovereign commitment to complete what He has begun in believers’ lives. God pledges to bring to completion the good work He started in believers at the day of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6), establishing a foundation that transcends my weakness and circumstance.
Christ promises that those who follow Him will never perish because no one can snatch them from His hand or the Father’s hand (John 10:27–29). This dual security, held by both Christ and the Father, reveals an unbreakable grip. Nothing in creation: whether death, life, spiritual forces, present circumstances, or future events, can separate Christians from God’s love in Christ (Rom 8:38–39). The robustness of this list removes the possible threat to salvation.
God’s faithfulness grounds this doctrine. All whom the Father gives to Christ will come to Him, and Christ will lose nothing of what has been entrusted to Him (John 6:37–40). God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable (Rom 11:29), they do not hinge on changing circumstances or human performance. The Lord is faithful and will establish and guard believers against the evil one (2 Thess 3:3).
The work of the Holy Spirit provides active protection. Thank goodness I as a Christian am sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who serves as a guarantee of our inheritance (Eph 1:13–14). By God’s power, those found in Christ are guarded through faith for salvation ready to be revealed at the last time (1 Pet 1:3–5). Christ is able to save completely those who approach God through Him, since He continually intercedes for them (Heb 7:25).
This treasured Scriptural truth punctuates that those whom God foreknew and predestined are also called, justified, and glorified -- a chain of divine action that ensures completion (Rom 8:29–30). It's a progression moveing from eternity to final glorification, with no breaking point.
All who believe in Christ will have eternal life and be raised up on the last day (John 6:37–40), and believers may know with certainty that they possess eternal life (1 John 5:13). If you are a Christian rejoice in this reality, and if you are not a Christian let me tell you about the most amazing assurance you could ever experience!
If you're going to survive in crypto, you have to accept what it actually is.
You're going to get 35% pullbacks. You'll get 50% drawdowns.
None of it matters if you understand what you own.
The core of what you hold should be a small handful of networks with real, provable long-term value and genuine adoption. Get that right, and the drawdowns stop being terrifying. They become the point.
Because this is a long game. I think these networks become the pension for an entire generation. You don't trade your way there. You build a thesis, you accumulate, you keep something back for the big sell-offs, and you let time and adoption do the work.
The volatility is the price of admission. The people who make it are the ones who stop flinching at it.
thoughts on portfolio allocations in bull markets
70% high conviction plays
30% degen risky plays
very important to segment your portfolio this way, will help you maintain clarity and have funds to chase while also keeping long term exposure always
high conviction plays should be coins you are willing to hold for several months with a core fundamental thesis behind them and clear invalidations for when you are wrong
stuff like $BTC / $ETH / $SOL / $HYPE, but the best high conviction spots are the ones where you find a midcap and allocate aggressively towards it as consensus is forming around it, for me last cycle this was $SOL & $COIN around 10B market cap, they were not confirmed majors yet but i was able to see these trades before they were & did well with them, 2024 it was $HYPE before it was consensus, i am actively trying to find these trades for the upcoming cycle you likely are aware of some of the coins i think this could be for this cycle already
but this is where you should spend the most of your time and research for awhile and build your positions over time, if you have a 9-5 you should take some portion of your income and set aside for getting exposure to risk assets in this way, @X is honestly a great forum for research and finding people with good ideas
30% degen port is always critically important because it allows you to take on much more risk but also get exposure to coins that may return your entire portfolio, this is where you spend time trenching new pairs, buying innovative on-chain plays, longing coins on leverage w/ perps, trading memecoins developing momentum
you will lose with a much higher hit rate on these coins but you also have a much higher chance of hitting a 1000x, for people with small portfolios this is where you should spend the majority of your time, when you have a smaller portfolio you have to outwork the other traders in the market by being early to narratives on-chain before they are consensus and finding great spots
this part of the portfolio also helps you with not experiencing fomo, because if you already have capital set aside to ape the trend of the week then you dont end up selling your high conviction bags to do so & when you are right then you have even more capital to compound into your highest conviction bags later, it is understated how important it is to do this
i keep seeing people mad on the timeline that their coins are not moving and think a large part of their frustration is that they are not diversifying their portfolios in this way, you would not be mad at other coins doing well if you had capital set aside to chase things that are moving, even if it is a small amount, there are traders and holders in every market, imo we are entering the period where holders outperform traders, but only if you are in the right coins, & having an ape stack on the side guards you against the possibility that you chose to diamond hand some garbage instead of gems
It's hard to meet a rich trader.
We all know one who did well for a period, or the lucky one who caught a great run and rode it. But sitting across the table from someone who's been trading for decades and built wealth? That’s a rare breed.
The best-performing brokerage accounts belong to dead people… And that's not because they had better strategies. It's because they didn't sell.
That's the whole game right there.
You can be as dumb as anyone alive and make money in this asset class, as long as you understand where you are in the cycle, know what to do, and don't panic when things get ugly.
Trying to trade your way to wealth is the surest way to give it back. Holding it is the hard part, but it's the only part that pays.
Honest take:- crypto is a patience game and most people arrive when the party starts
but the real ones are there when nobody is watching
biggest advantage in crypto is experience
knowing when everyone is too excited
knowing when everyone has given up
knowing when an opportunity is forming without any noise
time in the market teaches you things no chart can
If you are a Christian your confidence today rests on foundations that cannot be shaken. If God is for you, and He has not spared His own Son but delivered Him up for all of you, then He will graciously give you all things with Him. (Rom 8:28–39) And please don’t hear this as a platitudinal X post: it flows from the reality of your election. God chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless, predestining you for adoption as His children according to His pleasure and will.
The Puritan theologians are helpful here, and understood something vital about this assurance: election and covenant work together, offering troubled believers a double source of assurance; you can plead the covenant with God, asking Him to fulfill His promises, while simultaneously finding comfort in the sufficiency of His prevenient grace and the immutability of His will in election. Your election is not fragile or conditional on your performance, as I’ve said before, your salvation is received not achieved. God’s immutable decree of election proceeds from His perfect counsel, the basis for maintaining His people in sanctification and imparting to them an inward principle of holiness.
Yet this absolute promise does not leave you passive. God’s love, made known to you, draws you out of yourself toward Him in orderly, faithful obedience. The conditional promises of the covenant are inseparable from your daily renewal of it through prayer, meditation, and worship. Your obedience becomes the very means by which you experience and confirm what God has already secured.
Anchor yourself in the permanence of God’s word. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will not pass away. (Matt 24:35) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16–17) In this word, your election is declared, your redemption is promised, and your perseverance is guaranteed — not by your strength, but by His.
It’s been a long 1,169 days since PulseChain mainnet went live.
Whales have capitulated. Impatient holders have walked away. Sentiment has been crushed, but the chain continues to operate and survive.
Three years from now, these prices may feel impossible to believe.
For those who still have conviction and continue accumulating through the darkest part of the cycle, this could very well be a generational buying opportunity.
@JakeNiallTHEAGE@essendonfc Terrible outcome for Essendon losing number 1 pick. No point in finishing second last. Richmond have played this so well with there coach under no pressure from the media
You don’t have what you want because you can’t stay focused, you get frustrated too easily, and you’re unable to wait for it to work.
It’s not a lack of information, it’s a lack of character.
