Kira Howe

Former forest spirit turned city girl (but only on the outside), I'm an autodidact, libertarian, atheist, dog trainer and sometimes writer.

I've been sick all day and I'm still kicking myself for not doing any work. Dog hasn't been walked in twelve hours. Want snuggles.

Found awesome housewarming gift for ex-boyfriend. Too bad I don't have $100 to blow on a triptych print of an octopus.

A year and a half in New York and I still haven't run into @NathanFillion. Or @TomHanks. It's almost as if I don't go outside...

[Kira Howe @Kira_Howe]

I took the day off to go to Secret Science Club, and then I didn't go to Secret Science Club. But I fixed my chair! Huzzah?

Pasta carbonara is so fun and easy to make. It's basically bacon and eggs with spaghetti swirled in, but you feel fancy eating it.

Went to Aldi's for cheap off-brand soda and cookies. They didn't bag anything. Pinching pennies everywhere they can!

[Kira Howe @Kira_Howe]

"Who rescued whom?" I almost donated to the Human Society because their ad was grammatically correct. Almost.

First time being approached by a pot dealer. I feel so worldly. Oh, #Harlem.

[Kira Howe @Kira_Howe]

@donttrythis Looks like a veggie steamer?

Sometimes scary to share things you like with someone you like 'cause what if they don't like it? Showed my beau 12 Angry Men. He liked it.

My vet can't do pre-op bloodwork in-house?! My fancy new NYC rich neighborhood vet? Seriously? Rage face! DX DX DX

[Kira Howe @Kira_Howe]

The word "agoraphobia" translates literally as "fear of marketplaces". I have this for NYC grocery stores, the antithesis of "open spaces".

[Kira Howe @Kira_Howe]

I just milked a dog. If she had let me, I might even have done a thorough job of it. Without her puppies she must be so uncomfortable!

Just discovered Hank and John Green on YouTube this week. Have not gotten a thing done since. #nerdgasm http://t.co/uCsQakEz

I just had the most random, homesick-country-girl-in-the-city thought: "I hope my mother is keeping the bird feeders filled."

If I ever get a chinchilla, I'm gonna name it Mog.
