Idk. Nesta was able to carry a book for nearly 800 pages, then surely there’s enough material for Elain with her rejection and/or accepting the mating bond, and her powers. Throw in Aziel with his backstory and boom, 1500 pages right there.

at this point i’d prefer lucien’s pov than another valkyrie story. his character at least has been relevant since the first book. his arc is unfinished. it makes no sense to follow characters who’ve been here for a total 5 minutes and aren’t even part of the inner circle

I didn’t read 7 books just to to switch randomly. CC actually does a great job of setting the tone as a primarily fantasy driven novel. There’s not much spice and the focus is the world building and politics, which is what makes it enjoyable.
