I had a 2-sport collegiate athlete that only earned 2 C’s in 4 years of high school. He was a state champion as well as all-district, all-state & academic all-state. Was he off-the-charts smart? Nope, just off-the-charts disciplined because he loved the game too much to fail.
As if the NCAA couldn’t get any more insane, they are legitimizing this victory. I don’t care about your feelings or your desire to dress up -but the real-real is that you went through puberty as a male & have benefited biologically. This is an embarrassment-shame on you NCAA/FPU
In just its 7th year of existence, the @FPURavensXCTF has its first national champion. Senior CeCe Telfer took control of the 400-meter hurdles on Sat. PM and went on to post victory w/ a personal best time of 57.53. Read more here; https://t.co/vCukMSb7vS
If you’re “offended” by some of the things I say, there’s about a 1,000,000% chance that you’re part of the problem...how about instead of getting offended, you get better? Perhaps in the process of proving me wrong, you’ll prove something to yourself
So let’s just go ahead and Keep It Real....if this was football, my dude would be looking for his soul after this play....during his river dance, he may have forgotten that a Backer or Safety is on his way to bless him up!
THIS IS NOT FOOTBALL!
This kid is getting destroyed behind the line of scrimmage with all that useless dancing. The defender did exactly what he should do. Break down and make him make a move. He knows he has help from the inside.
Yes I’m tough on your child; yes I’m critical of their mistakes. But guess what? Life is tougher & future employers will also be critical of their mistakes. Thick skin & the ability to take constructive criticism will take them further in life than your coddling & interference
Parents that let a student athlete skip practice because they have a lot of homework and they don’t want them to be up all night doing it, you are part of the problem. Being tired is part of being a student athlete. It ain’t for everybody…
Yes, I play favorites...wanna’ know who they are?
- touches the line on sprints guy
- passes all his classes guy
- always at Saturday film guy
- knows all of his assignments guy
- doesn’t miss practice guy
- doesn’t make excuses guy
- doesn’t skip workouts guy
You get the point
Mom and dad think that coach isn’t doing enough to get their son recruited, when in reality, Bobby has a 2.2 GPA and a 13 ACT score. Perhaps they should be reminded that their son is a STUDENT-athlete and not an ATHLETE-student......
Parents that let a student athlete quit a sport after they have committed to the team simply because they don’t think they are good at it or enjoy it, you are part of the problem
Daddy told the other parents in the stands that “coach just has it in for Bobby,” when really it’s about Bobby’s work ethic in practice or his inability to learn the offense
Parents that let a student athlete miss a district or playoff game for a non-emergency, you are part of the problem. You are instilling in your child the idea that commitment and dependability are meaningless character traits
Parents that allow their student athletes to miss a practice or game with what amounts to a case of the “sniffles,” you are part of the problem. If you’re teaching your child that they can only compete in total comfort, you’re raising a mentally weak individual
