@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell Not saying FED government shouldnt regulate... Only talking about overregulation. Example, monopoly laws are essential. Only saying government needs to step out of A LOT!!!
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell And the idea of the Federal reserve and the banks to big to fail??? created by the govt. The 5 horseman... BOA, CITI, GOldman, etc... Government created and that's why they're too big to fail. Bail out was bad idea... let capitalism take its course
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell If govt said "here, loan money and there's no risk and you have to give it to sub 500 credit... but dont worry, we'll back you... Would you loan the money?? Of course you would. Government Regulation.
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell '08 recession caused by Fannie Mae Freddie mac. Safety net that allowed big business to take advantage of a regulation that allowed them to give loans to those who didn't deserve loan. Loop hole created bad people to take advantage of said loophole.
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell Free market works from the bottom up... the people... Regulation works from the top down... Big government... Big government is controlled by lobbyism... Corps win at the expense of the people... Consequence of overregulation.
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell But an interest group, a lobbyist, who is vested in that particular regulation, may be compelled to get it passed... to make money for big business. Therefore, big business wins. They LOBBY for it and win.
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell If there were something up to vote.. something generic, that seems unimportant to the general public, I'm less likely to vote (value of the vote.. time, money, effort etc). Even though it affects me, the value of my vote is less important to me.
@RedLightZone3@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell Think you missed the point of the tweet. This was about lobbyism. Lobbyism is a product of government regulation. If left to a vote, e.g. voting on legislation, only those with a vested interest win. E.G. Lobbyism. In a free market, the people decide.
@SamEifling@JasonSCampbell Whether it was Clinton or Bush is irrelevant. It was government getting too much involved. Government gave the loop hole for bad people to take advantage of a government safety net called Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac all in the name of Equity, not equality.
@Newsweek While we're banning guns, let's ban match heads and steel pipes. Society is breaking down. It's not the guns. It's not that hard to figure out how to make a pipe bomb. If guns were gone, bad people will find a way to do bad things.
