If Elon became a trillionaire today & the left is correct about their 0 sum economics worldview a lot of people must've instantly become poor at the same time
I don't mind that Elon Musk is a trillionaire. Wish he woulda done it without cashing in on climate change hysteria and the ensuing government favors his businesses enjoyed as a result, before using his fame and power to find new causes to whip people up into a frenzy over.
@deanstein12 Apparently, nobody in the administration bought into regime change as a realistic goal and thus did not pursue it to its fullest. Disregarded the possibility that Iran would close Hormuz. Now President Grandpap either had to accept defeat or fight a war he has no stomach for.
@deanstein12 I figured there was a good chance that President Grandpap would mess things up, but I was hoping to get at least one meaningfully good thing out of this dumpster fire of a Presidency. Something I'd prefer to be wrong about and admit he did something good for once.
Does Team USA select players based on an attempt to diversify the roster as much as possible by some arbitrary standard or based on which players will give USA the best shot at winning the World Cup?
@markAcorn@charlescwcooke@omgsidewalks Bezos has certainly made my life better. Saved me lots of money and trips to various stores. Makes consuming books a lot easier. Have multiple friends with good paying jobs at Amazon. Stock is doing well in my retirement account. Now if he'd only kick the commies off of Twitch.
@charlescwcooke@omgsidewalks I forget the exact details, but assuming the Bezos anecdote is true, it would be the same scale as taking a thousand dollars from your parents and turning it into multiple millions of dollars.
@TylerBoliver@KenGardner11 And even Stalin had some brutal antisemitic tendencies. In The Ominous Parallels, Leonard Peikoff noted how in Weimar Germany, Nazis and communists were constantly switching sides. We see similar trends today with many of these lunatic grifters in podcastistan.
@seanhalfcourt Lindsey Hunter is one of my favorite non star Pistons. I love that he was part of both the teal era and the Goin to Work era. And also deserves to be an all star in the Bill Simmons category of athlete names that could easily be mistaken for super models.
