The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on Israel, as an occupying power, to allow the immediate and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, ensuring food, water, medicine, and shelter for residents, while respecting UN and international organizations’ privileges.

Drafted by Norway, the resolution emphasizes protecting medical and relief personnel, preventing forced displacement and civilian starvation, and ensuring unhindered UN access.

Two months into the ceasefire, Israel continues to block humanitarian aid, with current deliveries falling short of meeting the needs of around 2.4 million people amid a worsening humanitarian crisis.
