There's a day I went shopping in a clothing store and this kid of about 15 walked in with his mother. He stood in one corner & for the next about 30 minutes did nothing but doomscroll through loud TikTok videos as his mother picked clothes. Dude was like a zombie, completely oblivious to his surrounding.
I felt so bad for him. Kids stopped living, they now just watch others living. And any curiosity that brought us excitement has since been dulled by informational overload. And because this information is constantly dispensed, they no longer feel obliged to actually live experiences. That's how we ended up with 13 year olds ventilating about the extremes of adult relationships. They lost before they even started.
I got into that app once and left immediately. If I ever get on back there, it will be purely for business purposes. Otherwise, it's an intellectual, spiritual, and emotional wasteland. A technological dystopia.
