@WreckaCenter@chiefworddet Ok, thanks for the context. You’re right—at this point in the year I know my kids! I still get new kids all the time, though, even in May.
@WreckaCenter@chiefworddet If it’s in the context of taking attendance, usually you’re reading off a list of names you haven’t seen before. Usually I’ll ask students to correct me and write the phonetic spelling down to help me remember. When you have 120 kids it can get hard to remember everyone!
@heymrsbond Friend, I’ve been using an online citation machine since 2002. Back in my day, this existed and I will ALWAYS tell kids to use a citation generator. The rules are arbitrary, no one cares outside of academia, and no one has time to memorize that.
@_goldddd Had a dude tell me that there were no spaghetti noodles in the pasta aisle. My friend, he was in the soup aisle looking for spaghetti with the ramen noodles.
My husband asked me tentatively tonight if I was ok to which I replied
“I AM VERY SICK OF DOING ALL OF THE THINGS THAT ARE NEVER ACTUALLY DONE”
“…..that sounds like it would be very unsatisfying.”
@heymrsbond Absolutely. We closed our spring play last night and the kids killed it. I got to listen to backstage chatter as the kids did their jobs, took it seriously, and rooted for each other. ✨magic✨these moments make my heart sing.
@RWJBoon I don’t think this this is generational—I’m solidly a millennial and made do in my 20s with hand-me downs and dumpster finds and milk crates and whatever else I could get, made peanuts, lived with roommates…it’s just what you do when you’re starting out/from working class 🤷🏻♀️
