It’s been two years since @joshuawongcf was jailed. We have no idea when he can leave — no verdict yet, and govt just put an extra charge on him.
We must continue to voice for them and request an immediate release of all political prisoners in HK.

Dear danes, I hope you will support @ThomasRohden for the election. But for Thomas' help, I would have been in jail as a political prisoner. The world needs politicians who not only talk about freedom and democracy, but also stand up for it, please give him your vote #dkpol

1/ As I have commented on @BBCRadioManc, it is utterly disturbing to see reportedly officials from the Chinese Consulate to attack and drag a UK and Hong Kong peaceful protestor into the Consulate.
…/
The protestor bashed at #China's consulate in #Manchester had "illegally entered the Chinese consulate", according to China's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin. Manchester police say the protestor was dragged inside and assaulted by several men. #UK#Britain
Media covering the clashes at the PRC consulate in Manchester should monitor this newly created account, which has posted what seems to be CCTV footage from inside the consulate grounds.
If it’s an attempt to shape the narrative, one would expect the account to have more traffic
This video appears to show the moment a Hong Kong pro-democracy protester was pulled into Chinese consulate grounds in Manchester and attacked.

//I can’t help but imagine what would happen if I was taken to a Chinese embassy. Would I be detained in a small blackout room? Extradited to mainland China and have a forced confession on state television? Or disappeared forever?//

Dangerous precedent: Exiled Hong Kong district councilor @carmenkamanlau talks to @rhokilpatrick about apparent attacks on protesters by Chinese consulate staff in Manchester.
Thanks @ChinaResearchGp and Chair @aliciakearns.
We're with the victim(s) and urge @gmpolice and @10DowningStreet to bring the attackers to justice, whoever they thought are in powerful position 'above the law'.
This is the UK - justice should be seen equally and impartially.
BBC footage shows Manchester Chinese Consulate staff dragging a Hong Kong protester onto the grounds of the Consulate to bash him. The man only escaped with help of police. What would they have done to him, disappeared him like Khashoggi? Out of control. Expel the Consul General
