@wmtv15news Don’t expect UW Madison to stand up for anyone as they’ve never tended to do so in the past for any group of disadvantaged or vulnerable. Thankful for institutions like @Harvard
@JayWeber3@JayWeber3 I was so angry at you. I’m a special needs mom and it was beyond hurtful. Our children are already so isolated. I genuinely hope that you take this opportunity to find a way to use your platform to truly reconcile the insensitive words and harmful energy.
Spent the day at Disability Pride Madison and Kitty took the stage to share her experiences over the last few weeks after being terminated from a UW pre-college program designed for academically talented high school students. High school students have disability rights too! 🤬
Kitty was terminated from the @UWMadison Accelerated Learning Program because UW does not provide disability support to high school students. Saturday is the last day of our 21-day protest. Join us to make a difference for the future of our kids in WI. See you there!
@LinaTrivedi@UWMadison@WKOW @DrSamiSchalk @Imani_Barbarin@yup_that_erin From Kitty’s mouth: “I’m not here just fighting for myself, I’m here fighting for all of us. Things need to change, it’s that simple, they just need to change.”
