@MissEmmaTurner My dad was in a band and they covered loads of different songs and types of music but The Joker by The Steve Miller band was a favourite. My dads band The Exit recorded a CD so I’m lucky enough to be able to listen to it whenever I want 😊❤️
@michael_merrick Also, what do we mean by ‘enjoy reading’? Some older children like reading picture books eg to younger ch but we don’t always class this as ‘Reading’ per se as it’s below their level of ability. Just the same way adults ‘enjoy reading’ magazines and other easy reading matter.🤷🏼♀️
@michael_merrick In reading utopia all children would love reading and read avidly.Realistically not every adult loves reading.I think it’s about introducing ch to wide diet of reading matter and perhaps they will find books they will love. Especially important for ch with no books at home.
@BookTasters St John in Jane Eyre. I remember my mum telling me how to pronounce it and I was totally adamant she was wrong and just winding me up.Then years later I heard something on tv about it and realised she was right!😄
Forget-me-not fun fact: the yellow ring at the flower’s centre fades to white after pollination, signalling to insects there’s no more nectar. The insects therefore learn to visit the flowers that haven’t yet been pollinated, ensuring no forget-me-not flower is forgotten 🤙
