Urgent Update: Boniface and Agather are being interrogated by one of the most brutal police officers, Mafwele, at central police station, who is renowned for torture. They are trying to force him to deleted previous tweets and issue a public apology for calling Suluhu a dictator and they are currently in very dangerous hands of this officer who is extremely notorious for torture.

As we pray for their safety, let us continue pushing for their immediate release along with all political prisoners! This is no longer an immigration issue.

We, @WMutunga, @Honeyfarsafi and I, have been detained at Julius Nyerere Airport, Dar es Salaam as we came in for the observance of @TunduALissu’s case.

The trip was in solidarity with Tanzania lawyers and human rights defenders.

They have not given reasons for the detention.
