@dannyfdonahue What do you think of descriptions vs. the "Jaws" approach of hiding the monster until the end, or even not giving a full description, at all? Let the imagination give life to its own nightmares, so to speak?

@dannyfdonahue Hello! Do you have any tips for designing a monster with pencil/paper? I have an idea of what I want— subtle, not too human, not quite right, and very scary— but, I’m not sure where to start. The book is named after him, so I figure, I have to start somewhere!
