Nearing the end of my chasecation (yeah, timing sucks but whatever) and reflecting back, this past month has been incredible. I wouldn't have it any other way, even if my first plains season was slow. Looking forward to seeing some great stuff on my last 2 chases out here!
We've got a hail and wind barrage here in Oglala, SD! @NWSRapidCity.
We saw penny sized hail and 40-50 mph estimated wind gusts. Street flooding got worse after this video with water flowing over the roadway.
We need to STOP complimenting storms. Celebrating an active storm can KILL IT. This is because storms feed off of instability.
A storm that feels validated becomes emotionally stable. A stable atmosphere produces NOTHING. Keep your supercells anxious. Keep them insecure.
Throwback to June 2nd, 2024 near #Silverton, TX. Documented several #tornadoes from all distances as their roar echoed throughout the Palo Duro Canyon. Even slid into the back end of @ReedTimmerUSA’s Dominator Fore after his engine failed at the end of a thick mud road. Ended up being stuck in a ditch until the next day!

Got Within 4 Miles Of A Confirmed Tor, But Couldn't See It 😭

The new Discovery storm chasing series is something I really want to do once I get back into chasing again.
Documenting storms and chasers in their element seem so sick and I really enjoyed having a little taste between 2022-2024.
