@darrenhayman Talking Heads. Everyone talks about how important and influential they were but apart from the obvious hits, they are too self indulgent for me.
@commonswings Oh no. Sorry to hear about that. Probably not easy for someone as prolific as you but try to use the enforced rest as a chance to recharge and don’t try to rush anything. Plus you have snacks. I didn’t know that dark chocolate tea cakes were a thing.
@commonswings @LibraryHentut I once knew someone who wouldn’t tie knots in self filled plastic bags of fruit and veg in a supermarket before they were weighed because he was convinced that by adding a knot, the bag became heavier
@darrenhayman When you mentioned using these photos, I knew that the exposure and framing were very amateur but thought that the advantage of painting them was that you could correct this. But now I totally see your point about replicating those points.
@darrenhayman@GingertrevTrev They are 45s. Sitting on the scrap line at Swindon Works . For some reason I didn’t record the numbers on the back of the photos.
@darrenhayman Summer of 82. I was 11. 1983 I was 12. I carried on taking railway photos for a couple more years but I don’t know what happened to those. There’s also an album on there of more recent railway photos.
@HeritageNPT This is great news. I’ve been walking both canals in stages over the last few months. I’ve only got the section upstream from Resolven left. I only found out 2 weeks ago that a big section at Abergarwed has been filled in . 2 very helpful volunteers showed me the way around.
