"Congratulations, @KKstager19, for being selected as the IGT 2023 National Team Most Improved Player. If you know the story, you know why Kaelyn won this prestigious award. If you don't, I will share it with you.

Kaelyn joined IGT at the start of her 9th grade; she had just started to play competitive basketball and had much work ahead to develop and compete for playing time.

During this three years process, Kaelyn tirelessly worked on her overall game where most players fail to realize what makes up the essence of excellence: cheering on the bench for teammates, having excellent body language, having a great team attitude, being coachable, knowing assignments, being fully engaged when the coach is speaking before, during and after practices or games. Kaelyn did this and never threw in the towel, and when she checked into the game, Kaelyn gave 110%.

Kaelyn accepted her role on the team as a player who would come off the bench when needed. During the 2022 Nike Tournament of Champions, in sudden death, Kaelyn came off the bench to make the game-winning shot! That shot allowed us to go 5-0 and become CHAMPS!

Kaelyn again stayed the course and continued to work on her craft to be a significant contributor for us to become the 2023 Nike Tournament of Champion Platinum Division CHAMPS!

Kaelyn moved into a starting position in the Orlando Splash and The National Championship, where she made plays on both sides of the court, splashing 3s, capturing the attention of Division 3 schools, and receiving multiple offers.

I am most proud of Kaelyn for how she started from the bottom, did not quit, and continued with her essence of excellence when she earned the starting position. Kaelyn will undoubtedly succeed at the next level majoring in Pre-Med and playing college basketball.

PS- Thank you to Kaelyn's parents for believing in the process; I know sometimes it looked bleak." - Coach Parker

Congratulations, Illinois Game Time 2024, for taking 1st in the Topaz Division and becoming the Nike Tournament of Champions Platinum Champs!!

Much respect to @FPbasketball, who came out not missing a shot, playing competitive defense, and making us earn the win!

These girls fought hard and are why we are (2022 and 2023) back-to-back Nike Tournament of Champions Champs!

@_KaitlynPark exceptional, averaging 15+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 10+ assets. Her high performance awarded her the Nike Tournament of Champions MVP. She also won the MVP award in 2022.

@gabrelcik_emily was a shutdown defender with Peregrine Falcon speed averaging 4+ steals and playing man on the opposing team's best offensive player. Emily also averaged 10+ points by raining 3s, driving to the rim for the layups.

@Hayven_Harden3 is no longer one of Illinois' best-kept secrets! The word is out, and all the 18+ colleges who saw her play were impressed with what they saw. She was the runner-up to receiving the Nike Tournament of Champions MVP. Hayven averaged 8+ block shots and 9+ points, a major factor in our tournament wins.

In a close game, the sharpshooter @KKstager19 delivered 11 points beyond the arc to help us win and played a crucial role in our defense to have 2 steals and 5 rebounds. Her relentless ability to hustle down the court caused the opposing team to miss fastbreak layups.

@JakylahThomas3 developed quickly during this tournament to be a huge contributor, averaging 6+ points and 2+ steals. She will be a player to watch next season.

Aubrey was physical in the paint, allowing her to make crucial points when we needed the most. Her athletic ability to defend was a massive plus throughout the tournament.

@_JosieLarson stepped up her game and contributed big-time by grabbing rebounds, diving on the ground for loose balls, and averaging 7+ points.
