OHIP is about 70% of our exams (70% can’t be a loss leader). OHIP patients’ access to quality eye care should not depend on their eyeglass purchase. Most of my patients do not buy glasses from me, so how can this model work?

How can we pay our staff a #livingwage if our fees are almost the same as 1989? Average 2 exams/hr. Do the math. Subtract staff wage, rent, equipment etc. Give us any other province's model of funding. Ontario is so much behind all others.
