The Klco lab dinner was the perfect way to catch up and compare notes after a long day of learning from the best and brightest minds that #ASH23 has to offer!
Great dinner with current and former trainees of my mentor Tim Ley, who will receive the Stratton Medal tomorrow from @ASH_hematology#ASH2022. This field is all about mentor/mentee relationships and the communities they build.
Relapse is common in children with acute myeloid leukemia and can be complicated to treat. Researchers at St. Jude found a mutation in AML that can be used to stratify high-risk patients and better guide treatment. https://t.co/jjOZZ3gVAZ @OncologyTimes@BCD_AACR@KlcoLab
Reanalysis of 553 pediatric #AML#WTS led to the identification of a new AML subtype with recurrent 9bp insertions in exon 3 of CBFB. The GEP of cases with CBFBins was similar to CBFB::MYH11 AML but had a more stem-like signature (BCL2L14, MEIS1, HOXA). https://t.co/5g5v62oc7y
