🚨💣Glazers: £272m in, over £1.2bn out
They bought United in 2005 for £812m — but only put in £272m of their own money. The other £540m was loaded onto the club as debt.
United’s debt jumped from £50m to £604m overnight.
Since then, roughly **£1.187 billion** has left the club:
- £815m in interest
- £197m in debt repayments
- £166m in dividends
- £10m in management fees
No club can have that much extracted and still compete at the top.
🚨Yarmoliuk on what Jeremy Jacquet said before the headbutt that got him sent off as Brentford lost 2–1 to Liverpool:
🗣️ Yarmoliuk: “We had just gone 1–0 up, and everyone was focused on defending that lead. We knew Liverpool would put us under pressure, especially from set pieces, so we were trying to organise ourselves before the corner was taken. It was an important moment in the game, and the last thing I expected was for things to turn personal.
“Jacquet came straight towards me, got right into my face and said, ‘All you do is fight for mid-table. We fight for trophies at Liverpool.’
“Honestly, that got me furious. You can talk about football, you can try to get inside an opponent’s head, and you can even have a bit of banter during a match. That is part of the game. But when someone stands inches away from your face and talks about your club as if you are beneath them, it becomes difficult to ignore.
“What annoyed me most was the arrogance behind it. We had just taken the lead, we were competing against Liverpool, and we were doing everything possible to win the match. Yet he was speaking as though Brentford had no right to challenge them. I don’t care how many trophies Liverpool have won or how big their history is. When we step onto that pitch, we are there to compete, not to bow down to anybody.
“I won’t pretend I handled the situation correctly. I was angry, I reacted in the heat of the moment, and I headbutted him. The referee had every reason to send me off under the rules, and I have to accept that. I cannot stand here and make excuses for my actions simply because I didn’t like what another player said to me.
“But people also need to understand the emotions involved in football. You spend the entire week preparing for a match, you fight for every ball, you put your body on the line for your teammates, and then someone comes up to you and speaks about your club as if everything you are working for means nothing. In that moment, I allowed my emotions to take control instead of thinking about the bigger picture.
“The worst part is that we had just gone ahead. My teammates were fighting to protect that advantage, and I gave them an extra problem to deal with. Instead of helping them see the game out, I left them a man down against a team with Liverpool’s quality. That is what hurts me most when I think about it. I may have felt disrespected, but my responsibility was still to my teammates and our supporters.
“I also know that people will look at the incident and say I should have walked away. They are right. I could have laughed at him, ignored him, or simply waited until the final whistle to let the result do the talking. If we had won, I could have walked off the pitch knowing we had beaten them where it mattered. Instead, I gave everyone something else to discuss, and I have to take responsibility for that.
“However, I will never accept the idea that Brentford should be treated as a small club that must simply be grateful to share the pitch with Liverpool. We have ambitions, we have quality, and we have players who believe we can compete with anybody. We might not have the same trophy cabinet, but that doesn’t mean we lack pride or hunger. Every club starts somewhere, and nobody should be allowed to use history as a weapon to humiliate another team.
“I respect Liverpool as a football club, and I respect what they have achieved. But respect has to work both ways. Their players are entitled to believe they can win trophies, just as we are entitled to believe we can beat them. That is football. You don’t get extra points because of your history, and you certainly don’t win a match simply because you believe your club is bigger than your opponent’s.
“I regret the headbutt, and I regret leaving my teammates to fight with ten men. I should have kept my head, and I will have to learn from that. But if you think I will stand there smiling while someone disrespects the badge I wear, then you don’t understand me”.

🚨 REF CAM: JAMES TARKOWSKI’S CONFRONTATION WITH JORDAN HENDERSON DURING EVERTON VS CHELSEA.
🗣️ James Tarkowski: “Referee, he insulted me and shoved me, and when I tried to confront him, he backed away. Now he’s standing here pretending he did absolutely nothing wrong!
He can deny it all he wants, but he knows exactly what happened. He made physical contact with me, and now he wants to act like the innocent one. I won’t accept that kind of behaviour.
And let’s be honest, he has no business lecturing anyone about discipline when he’s out here losing his temper and getting involved in confrontations himself. If you’re going to take action, then be fair about it. Don’t punish one player while allowing the other to walk away acting like the victim.
I’m here to defend my team, not to entertain anyone’s nonsense. If he has something to say, he should say it to my face instead of running his mouth and then pretending nothing happened. Referee, you saw what happened. Deal with it properly!”
🚨 BREAKING: After securing a crucial victory over Everton, Chelsea are reportedly preparing for a busy January transfer window, with Xabi Alonso said to have identified five potential targets to strengthen the squad following Emiliano Martínez’s injury concerns.
