BREAKING🔥: Dominion Voting Systems—the voting machine company attacked by Trump allies after 2020—sold to Missouri-based Liberty Vote, run by former Republican election official Scott Leiendecker, Axios has learned.

Liberty acquired Canada-based Dominion for an undisclosed sum, per a source familiar with the deal.

Liberty is Leiendecker's new company; he founded KNOWiNK in 2011 for voter verification and check-in software. Per his LinkedIn, KNOWiNK has 150+ employees, $55M annual revenue, serves over a third of U.S. states, and is the nation's top electronic poll books provider.

Leiendecker has strong GOP ties: Missouri GOP Sec. of State Matt Blunt appointed him to probe St. Louis elections post-2000, then as governor named him St. Louis' Republican election director.

Ed Martin chaired St. Louis' election board during Leiendecker's tenure; now interim D.C. U.S. attorney, Martin demoted Jan. 6 prosecutors and threatened Wikipedia for "biased propaganda."

Liberty aligns with President Trump's paper-ballot focus. Leiendecker stated: "committed to delivering election technology that prioritizes paper-based transparency, security and simplicity so that voters can be assured that every ballot is filled-in accurately and fairly counted."

Recently, Dominion settled undisclosed suits with Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and One America News Network.
