We will hear, and now see, people's darkest moments, and shoulder the responsibility for events that are well beyond our control, blaming ourselves when there is a less than favorable outcome.

Please remember there is nothing that any of us can do to prevent things from happening. You do what you are trained to do to the very best of your ability. It's important to find that sense of pride for the work that you and your team do - regardless of the outcome. You did what you were called to do. You know it won't be easy, but you SHOW UP anyway. And you do a damn fine job. Never lose sight of that.

@Mythical I work at a 911 in SE Idaho & I stopped a school shooting before it happened by asking what the child wore to school everyday. Bc of the description of the backpack and his hat officers were able to locate him outside with the loaded weapon prior to him entering the school
