For #InternationalWomensDay let's recognize the amazing women that dedicate their lives to education.
Teaching is a tough, under-appreciated job, and the majority of teachers around the world are women.
Shout out a woman in teaching that you want to celebrate today!
The other day I tried out a new reading assessment on one of my students and told her she was my guinea pig. Today I called another student to read with me and all I hear is her yell “you’re the hamster now!” #LifeinGrade3
Being a first year teacher is a whirlwind. This sweet note left in my mailbox by the sweetest coworker was enough to make me slow down for a minute and take it all in 💙 #rvsed
We’ve been talking affirmations in grade 3. We came up with these words together, and each student put a smiley face by the word that resonated with them the most. #edchat#rvsd
Yesterday I went to see my practicum class for their last day of school. I swear every single one of them had grown a foot taller and spoke to me like they were catching up with a friend they hadn’t seen in a while. Nothing like revisiting the kids who made you a teacher. ❤️
The truth is simple.

And it won’t if we don’t prepare our kids to do the work that needs to be done.

Kids want to tell you about their lives.
They really do. Like, really. They want you to listen, to take interest, and to make comments about what they say. Do that. #RelationshipsMatter
