I raised a legitimate concern about journalists associated with a Pakistani-operated social media platform reportedly covering protests in Delhi and shaping narratives about India. I asked the authorities to investigate the platform’s ownership, operational base, and compliance with Indian laws.

Instead of a clarification on the issue I raised, I am now looking at a police notice seeking my account details and IP logs in connection with an FIR.

Since when has raising questions about national security and asking for an investigation become grounds for treating the person raising the concern as a culprit?

If my post contains fabricated information, let the facts be examined. If I have violated any law, please specify the exact offence and the evidence supporting it.

But seeking an individual’s IP logs is a serious investigative step. The public deserves to understand the legal basis for such action, especially when the original post raises a matter of public interest.

I respect the law and the investigative process. All I ask is this: What exactly is the alleged offence, and why am I being investigated for raising this concern?
