@warhammer is it wrong that part of me wants a "Full Sized" copy of the Core Rules?
Where the other part of me would like if you continued this trend into the codices, making them smaller and cheaper. Would be a good thing, right?
Maybe a poll for which the community wants?
@Tamereth@SciFi_Wargamers The Dreadnought conversion was done by the U.S. Studio. I was told in no uncertain terms by one of the authors that he is dead. Death Company Dreadnoughts come from regular dreads falling to the Black Rage, they would never put someone already afflicted into a Dreadnought.
@MengelMinis The Necrons did not have a "Get you by" army list in the core 3rd Ed. rulebook like a lot of other established armies of the time. Since the first inkling of design as Chaos Androids, Necrons have grown and changed to become a well loved (and reviled) part of the 40k Universe.
@MengelMinis The reintroduction of Necrons for 3rd Ed. started March 1999 with a CA article in WD 230. This would include the introduction of Immortals. The list would later be refined and included in the 2001 CA book. Necrons would see a true release into 40k with their 2002 Necron Codex.
@ChibiReviews Intro rocked harder than it had any right to. Very interesting world building that drip feed you bits and pieces of what was going on. All around a great watch.
@ChibiReviews I would say it is my top pick for anime this season. Great animation, slow mysterious world building, good character growth. Just some solid storytelling. Looking forward to the next episode.
@BethanyBennyLoy Yeah, I uninstalled it off my phone a few months back, and only log in from time to time. As ways to communicate with people go, it has lost its charm.
@BitsHammer Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader (1987) is when you take a bunch of British nerds from the 80s and cram every fantasy, sci-fi, and history trope that they like into a blender and then poor the resulting mixture into a rulebook. The more you learn the more references you see.
@himboBlacksmith @BitsHammer Do you mean when they reduced them down from the many to just 3 with the transition from 2nd to 3rd, or when they got rid of them completely with 8th, cause the answer is always going to be yes. "How dare you change 'insert thing here', that was what I loved about the game."
@mizerie__ They are not mandatory, they are completely optional. I just got so involved with finding people to play cards against and collect all the cards that the main quest was kind of... 'forgotten'.
@BitsHammer The way they approach rules and model design now is much more meticulous as they have to take several factors into consideration, and they are still human, and still make mistakes. The wild west of game and model design are over and they are definitely watching their investments.
@BitsHammer Kirdy had moved the company's goals from being a game company to being a model company, not realizing the reason most people were buying the models were for the games. Then the lawsuit defenses of what they believe was their IP backfired and they had to change everything.
