Ophthalmic surgery has officially started today at our NEW Nablus Day Hospital! Three surgeries were performed successfully.

On the 10th of May 2025, we officially opened our new Nablus Day Hospital, with a ceremony attended by SJEHG staff, trustees, and supporters. This is a huge milestone in providing accessible eye care to the people of the West Bank! #stjohneyehospitalgroup #nablus

Since the start of the war in Gaza some 18 months ago, we have resumed work at the outpatient department of the St John Eye Hospital in the Gaza City.
More than 59 patients have been treated on the first day. We hope this is the start of a peaceful era.

After a long period of interruption we are most proud to announce our teams have performed the first major eye surgery in Gaza today. This is an exciting start!

Renovation of outpatient clinics at our Gaza Hospital has been completed.
We should commence services at the Hospital next week.
Thanks to all our dedicated teams who have been working in Gaza for more than one year under extraordinary conditions.
