A teacher who listens, a student who questions, a son that honors, a brother that supports, an uncle that laughs and a man that thinks more then eats, almost.
@realKellyKnight@TruthForHim7 ….you must believe what they believe. The question is if your beliefs are parallel or remotely close to what the Christian body has historically believed. And sorry, but the Mormon church doesn’t believe anything remotely close.
@realKellyKnight@TruthForHim7 But…what if actual people who used to live and breath the church leave the church and yell exactly what they believe? Especially the LDS church which raises kids from birth & schools them daily their whole life. Then, are we to believe them? And if you believe the LDS faith…
@rickbrennanjr And are we going to say they just were never Christians? No. They were Christians who gave in to sin. The question is: if they were to repent, would they be forgiven? And if they died before confession of the sins, would they be forgiven in the life after. That’s in God’s hands.
@rickbrennanjr Oh never mind. This is silly.
Can or could a Christian murder someone? Yes. Can they be forgiven of it? Yes. God’s mercy knows no limits.
How many Protestant pastors have committed fraud? Priests or pastors who were guilty sexual crimes or misconduct? Too many…
@EddieJamro84189@PaulGTTHM@MgrSebastianus Or are all sins, even sins we haven’t repented of, forgiven.
That is the question. Who dies with no sin? Or with all sins being repented of?
@EddieJamro84189@PaulGTTHM@MgrSebastianus Are you and Eddie on same page? OSAS? Yes, of course sins we ask to be forgiven, are forgiven. But what of sins we commit but die with but haven’t asked God for forgiveness?
@PaulGTTHM@EddieJamro84189@MgrSebastianus If I my salvation is not affected by sins of which I do not repent and seek forgiveness for because I just assume they are forgiven, is repenting necessary?
@PaulGTTHM@EddieJamro84189@MgrSebastianus Must you repent for the sins you commit?
Why?
And…if you don’t repent for sins you committed, and you were once ‘saved’ what happens?
Are you so bold to say you know all of the sins you have committed but not repented for?
@rickbrennanjr And it is a fact that Luther added the word ‘alone’ to his translation. So, if one is going to add words to the bible, build a theological doctrine on the scripture with that added word, in my mind your credibility is to be doubted and not inspired.
@rickbrennanjr …but I am still saved. The sins I commit after I am ‘saved by faith’ have no impact on my salvation. And if I then do commit a heinous crime later in life the argument is that we weren’t transformed or even sincere when we were saved, obviously because I never wouldn’t have…
