Another week of minibeasts, room 3 children learned facts about spiders and shared opinions. We then worked with a partner to create our own unique spider web with some unusual flies.
Well done to Room 2’s superstar and Good Worker Award this week! Very well deserved from two learners who always strive to be safe, kind and ready to learn 🌟

Wishing our children, families and staff a lovely holiday weekend. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school and nursery on Tuesday. Here's what's on next week...
A little round up of all our learning. We continued with writing using our superhero theme, we worked hard on our fractions and enjoyed continuing our learning of minibeasts during Muddy Movers ☺. Enjoy the long weekend.
Incredibly priviledged to have led such a super team of learners and staff at HK. Thankful for each and every one of you and looking forward to following the progress of Team HK ❤
Today we said a fond farewell to Mrs Goring and Mrs Mullholland. Both have contributed so very much to the learning and teaching in Heathery Knowe. They will be greatly missed.

We are done! 20,000+ books given away in less than one hour! Thank you so much to @scottishbktrust for supplying schools with this amazing offer, and thank you to @holycrossham for hosting us in the sunshine! #BigBookBoost
Today, Lucy and Melissa told us all about their performance in the musical School of Rock with their Encore theatre group. Ayla and Katie also performed but were not in class to share this afternoon.
Here's what's on this week at HK! Please join us for OPAL Stay & Play on Tuesday and HK Café on Friday. Remember Thursday is an Inservice Day (we're closed to pupils).
It's week 3 on the lunch menu: https://t.co/rBSH6Q1zcH
This week, Room 3 developed numeracy and literacy skills using teamwork, partner, and independent learning. We enjoyed developing our knowledge of minibeasts and met our classroom visitors, the caterpillars 🐛🦋
Through the context of the Shakespeare play Macbeth, Room 8 has been working with Mrs McGeary to visualise characters and express their thoughts and feelings through role play.
This week we continued with using Supertato as our stimulus for writing. We loved discussing what the vegetables thought about evil pea and even included speech marks in some of our writing. We explored fractions during maths and athletics during PE. Have a lovely weekend ☺️.
