I just read a sentence that came out of a computer science bachelors with absolutely no background in undergraduate chemistry, physics or biology who is dealing with PhD level computational chemistry:
“We tell people how atoms move”
😂😂😂
I learnt something today: Different people have different acceptance period. If the change is too quick, people will second guess themselves. When the change is too slow, people also second guess themselves.
Ofc, one may argue that it’s time to upskill oneself and stuff, but the point i’m driving at is AI has effectively raised the bar of “low level jobs” by A LOT.
Stop the narrative: AI is taking over our jobs!
Start the narrative: AI is lowering the value of our jobs, rendering us lower salary to copy with the world of increasing inflation!

Saw this: Why would you pay for a logo designer when AI tools can help you make a professional one by yourself?
Generalise this question and it becomes: When AI tools are good enough to replace most, if not all of your tasks, why would a company still retain you then?
“If you expect AI to magically transform the drug discovery process, that shows lack of foresight on both technological limitations as well as the socioeconomic constraints.”
And I was brainwashed by my CEO just a year ago that I have to do AI for drug discovery. 🙄

I’m gonna put it out here. AI WILL replace humans. That doesn’t mean humans will be useless. It just means they take up new jobs that are closely related to the up/downstreams of AI.

My CEO always says, “Everyone in a startup is on the same boat, there shouldn’t be any difference between you and me.”
So what happens? The most qualified senior scientist who’s a PhD, is arguing with an undergrad. 😣
Emphasis here is “arguing” and not “discussing”.
