A western Sydneysider has been spotted with a rather upfront sign on their front door, telling strangers not to bother them "unless you are giving away beer".

The lengthy note clearly outlines the residents are not open to doorknockers -- and will instead charge them $20 for every minute of their time.

"We are too broke to buy anything, we know who we are voting for, we have found Jesus," the sign said.
